Good guys or Bad guys?

As many of you know, 3 decades of research and experience has led me to the realization that this human journey boils down to 3 things: Grace, Imperfection and Real Power. When you nurture inner grace (graciousness, respect, authenticity, kindness and empathy) and when you accept imperfections (in yourself and others) you tap into your Real Power!

Those first 2 aspects (grace and imperfection) are relatively simple when things are going along swimmingly. The challenge arises when you see, hear or experience something that upsets you. Somehow, judging other’s behavior as bad or wrong leads us to believe we’re ‘doing’ something to rid the world of the ‘bad guys’ while elevating us to ‘good guy’ status.

I can tell you from experience, as an imperfect human myself and as a guide and coach, that judging ourselves or others throws us off-balance quickly. It creates disharmony within and serves only to give energy to one’s own feelings of not being or doing enough. Facilitating change is most effective when done with the energy and intention of grace.

Creating change in the world and in yourself begins with self-honor - by releasing all judgement of who you are or are not, past and present. Always be gracious with yourself and when you accept your imperfections and honor who you are at your core, you will tap into Real Power. Real Power contains the authenticity, wisdom and inner leadership for moving forward, solving problems, achieving your goals and living your dreams.
